I found a copy of Our Lady of Muswell's Novena, in the Novice classroom of the monastic order I was a Novice with. I have prayed it Perpetually ever since.
The original copy was signed on the back by Cardinal Bourne in 1932. Interestingly, back in 1908, in defiance of the governmental law banning Eucharistic processions, Bourne gave Benediction from the loggia of Westminster Cathedral. And in October 1917, month of the last 'Miracle of the Sun' Apparition of Our Lady of Fatima, Portugal - Cardinal Bourne visited the 16th (Irish) Division at Ervillers, on the Western Front in France and was photographed outside a barn which had been converted into a Catholic Church, (see end photo).
The first time I prayed Our Lady of Muswell's Novena, as a Novice, I felt God show me that it was His Will for the Benedictine Nun's to return to Our Lady of Muswell parish shrine and that somehow I was involved. God had never revealed that to me before that moment.
God showed me that it was not His Will that I should remain in the monastic order I spent time with, after what I had seen and experienced, especially as they were not signed up to the Catholic Churches Safeguarding Policy, at that time.
God has shown me that my role in His plan to bring the Benedictine Nuns back to Our Lady of Muswell parish/shrine, is to offer up my life of 'Ora et Labora', as a Catholic Lay Benedictine Solitary. From my research so many new Catholic religious orders started with the little seed of a Solitary.
I have been praying for the great number of other women who have also left that particular monastic order and through Our Lady of Muswell's intercession, God has also brought many miraculous consolations.
God is wonderfull.
